Otto Cappuccini: art, bread and salads

In: Eating out | 6/02/2007 |

otto_cappucini_1.jpgIn the center of the island, in S.ta Gertrudis, Leonardo Scacchi a native Italian artist opened together with his partner Nashwan the Croissantería “otto cappuccini“. As stylish as an Italian croissanterie can get the place features tables and chairs from the designer Philip Starck.
The inside is divided into several one behind the other ascending levels….
otto_cappuccini_2.jpg..But the clou is in the middle level, there goes one over a glass floor and floats as over a wondrous bottom of the sea. Thousands of small and smallest particles formed out of Terracotta and burned represent an impressing bottom of the sea with the title “Tiempo oceano”, which was arranged by the artist Leonardo Scacchi and is enough in the nature museum in Rotterdam was issued.
otto_cappuccini_3.jpgIn the Croissanterie there is apart from all kinds of Italian and Spanish coffee preparation a large selection to freshly baked rolls, bread, pastry and many cakes.
People come from all parts of the island to have breakfast or to enjoy all kinds of salads with enormous selection of various vegetables, herbs, seeds, rungs and grains. So one has possibility, only one soup or Pasta or a rice.
A large offer of select Italian wines of the Chianti Classico over Dolcetto and Montepulciano from the Abruzzo up to noble Barolos rounds the offer off.
Highly recommended!
