According to a recent article on The Guardian 4 out of 20 great designer villas located in Europe are in Ibiza (6 in total in Baleares). The Ibiza winners according to the author, Gemma Bowes, are:

3rd - Libelai, Santa Gertrudis, Ibiza
‘Libelai is the complete antithesis of the wood-beamed, terracotta-floored traditional finca,’ reads the catalogue blurb. Minimalism is the rule, but the white building has a Miami-in-the-Seventies look, with an open-plan living room opening onto the stretched oblong pool, palm trees in the garden, clear Perspex dining seats and white space-age furniture. There are four double bedrooms and views of the countryside and Formentera, and the tapas bars of the charming Santa Gertrudis village.

6th - Villa Cala Bassa, Cala Bassa, Ibiza
An abstract, Duplo-like construction of terracotta, white and golden walls reveals a spacious interior with wide coloured panels, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and low white sofas slung around open fireplaces. A thatched exterior dining area lies beside a sleek rectangular pool, with a long wooden deck stretching out above the water. Balconies feature cacti, bedrooms are simple and cream, the kitchen chrome and modern.

9th - Vista Conta, San Jose, Ibiza
For those who aren’t sure Ibiza’s club scene is for them, the villa’s location in Port des Torrent, across the bay from notorious San Antonio, means it’s ideal for dipping your toes into the nightlife. A ferry can drop you in the raucous West End, but you can retreat to the Cala Bassa and Cala Conta beaches, between which this funky villa is located, with its minimalist black-and-white furniture and interiors.
