Ibiza has gone from having 51 professional Life Guards in 2005 to 104 in 2006.
In the last 5 years the security measures on the beach have increased drastically since the new beach law was applied in 2006.
Cruz Roja, the organisation behind the life saving program, has not just increased the number of Life Guards but also the equipments such as 36 oxygen therapy boxes and amphibious wheel chairs for the disabled.
