According to official statistics Ibiza’s population increased of 3,3% in 2007, an additional 3790 inhabitants comparing to previous year, bringing the total residents up to 117,698.
In Formentera, population is now 8,442 inhabitants, a 6.1% increase on last year.
Ibiza airport registered in 2007 over 4.55 million passengers through its portals (they were 4.460.141 in 2006).
Official statistics also say that Ibiza rised to the 4th most expensive place to live in Spain right behind Madrid, Barcelona, and the Basque country.
