15,000 sun-beds (or “hamacas”) will be available this season on Ibiza beaches, most of them in place for the first time. Residents and tourist alike will now be able to enjoy a day at the beach from the comfort of their “hamacas” with the exception of Cala Moli.
The municipality with the most sun-beds is San Jose with a total of 6,118 followed by Santa Eularia with 3,744, and Formentera with 2,520.
Regulation on concessions is now much stricter and sticks to specific areas to ensure sun-beds do not take up all of the space on the beach leaving vast areas for bathers who wanted to use just their towel.
As always the price of a sun-bed on any beach will vary according to the area but €6 is set as the maximum this year.

Also present and correct are minimal man Loco Dice, chart-toppers Freemasons, and sonic explorer James Lavelle.
And, once again, the hand of friendship is extended to every clubber on the island, as CC&F promise, as always, the lowest prices on the Island.

Local fishermen will help out the Govern to collect jellyfish near by the coast of Ibiza.

Their association has been offered by the ministry for the environment a fee of 600 euros per day for every vessel taking part in the cleaning process as well as €1.50 per kilo of jellyfish recovered from the sea.

Jellyfish stings are the most common injury sustained by beach goers every year.

If you are after a typical local restaurant and quality food treat yourself for lunch or dinner (July and August only) at Es Caliu.
Sample menu items include starters of salad, or melon with serrano ham, or avocado with prawns. A main course of shoulder of lamb, or the best fillet steaks, or rabbit, or baby goat, or suckling pig, or roast ox still cooking on the stone
platters.
We would recommend all washed down by a good Rioja and finish with a local pudding.
