Seven years in and set to be stronger than ever, everyone’s favourite superstar DJ, promoter, host and radio presenter Carl Cox returns to his summer stronghold – Space Ibiza, every Tuesday night from 8th July.
Hands-on as usual, Carl welcomes a whole bunch of iconic mates including Francois Kevorkian, Laurent
Garnier & Fatboy Slim, proof that this really is a friends thing. In keeping with the Carl Cox & Friends concept that has travelled the world, this line-up includes talent spanning many genres of electronic music. Drum and bass pioneers Roni Size and DJ Marky return, as do breaks heads Evil Nine and Adam Freeland.
For every solid fixture there are also faces fresh to Carl’s Ibizan fold, including funky metallic techno head Chris Liebing (renowned on the Island for his ‘Spin Club’ nights), D&B punks Pendulum, anthem-maker and all round tech house/breaks maestro Bushwacka!, plus growling electro maximalist Alex Metric. Also present and correct are minimal man Loco Dice, chart-toppers Freemasons, and sonic explorer James Lavelle.
And, once again, the hand of friendship is extended to every clubber on the island, as CC&F promise, as always, the lowest prices on the Island.

When Space opening is announced you know the party season in Ibiza is about to start.
Dj line up for the opening is impressive as usual…this year will open the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Fatboy Slim, Deep Dish, Sasha, Groove Armada, Jose Padilla…

British house label Defected has announced their line-ups for its Ibiza residency at Pacha from June the 10th to September 23rd. The programme includes thirteen nights showcasing artists from its long-running In The House mix series as well as three Strictly Rhythm specials.
Eight residents will spin on rotation throughout the season including Kenny Dope, Sandy Rivera, Junior Jack amp, Kid Crème, Shapeshifters, Quentin Harris and Copyright with live percussion from Shovell. Guests include Bob Sinclar, who spins the opening party, Gilles Peterson, Mark Knight, DJ Gregory plus New York house originals David Morales and Todd Terry.
Defected residents and guests will also spin at their weekly pre-party at Café Mambo every Tuesday from early evening to midnight.

Clubbing in Ibiza in 2008 will be slightly different from previous years because of a new strict regulation set by authorities to limit the opening times for the so called “after hours”. But even if day partying still represents an important attraction for many visitors, the majority of club promoters together with the best worldwide Djs are already working to what could be properly considered a unique 3 months long summer clubbing festival. Ibiza 2008 is about to start.

Flower Power parties are a sort of anniversary that recreates the first nights of Pacha. It is the only party in the Ibiza superclub that manages to congregate new and old celebrity faces and what is more, they all come with smiles on faces, dancing and singing along to the timeless tunes from the The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc.

In a recent interview to dance music website inthemix, Sven Vath revealed that the new Cocoon party theme for summer 2008 will be called “Disco Invaders”, a sort of Bootsy Collins meets Studio 54.
Expect in Amnesia Sven, Villalobos and Hawtin dressed like Bootsy Collins and laser-disco-minimal sound.

Controversial 2007 DJMag Top 100 Poll (whatever would that mean) has been released. On the first 20 Djs 17 of them play regularly in Ibiza clubs over the summer.
