If you are after a typical local restaurant and quality food treat yourself for lunch or dinner (July and August only) at Es Caliu.
Sample menu items include starters of salad, or melon with serrano ham, or avocado with prawns. A main course of shoulder of lamb, or the best fillet steaks, or rabbit, or baby goat, or suckling pig, or roast ox still cooking on the stone
platters.
We would recommend all washed down by a good Rioja and finish with a local pudding.
Don’t miss it!

Three Argentinian talented chefs have finally managed to open their own restaurant in the centre of Jesus (only few km from Ibiza town). They called it Santa Gula and its philosophy is quite straightforward: a simple, varied and tasty menu with quality (and quantity) ingredients at convenient prices.
Santa Gula is decorated as a classic Argentinian “bodegòn” but do not expect just the traditional beef and meat grill place. The dishes have definitely a mediterranean touch and the warm central chimney makes you feel immediately at home. Caring and friendly service.
Santa Gula it’s already among the restaurants we warmly suggest to our guests.

Bon Profit (5 Plaza del Parque, Ibiza Town) is not the typical budget restaurant. Three generations of proficient local restaurateurs provide a convenient and tasty dining experience but at few conditions: you can’t book your table (first come first served), it is a non smoking restaurant (fair enough), no table outside and ultimately they do not serve coffee so once your meal is over you have to leave quickly your table to the next customers queueing outside. Even if always very busy the service is gentle and very caring.
Great value for money, we strongly recommend it.
Chill Internet Cafe’ is a little internet cafe situated in Via Punica, near by Vara del Rey. The place is worth of mention not only for its fast free wi-fi internet connection and computer stations (wi-fi in bars is nearly ubiquitous in Ibiza nowadays). (Show me more…)
Today we’d like to suggest a very nice “budget” restaurant, Es Galliner.
Situated in the little village of San Jose, half way between Ibiza and San Antonio, Es Galliner is one of those hidden (and few) traditional places in Ibiza where you can still have a very nice meal with a very friendly service at reasonable prices.

Cap d’es Falco is a restaurant by the seashore which perfectly captures the tranquil beauty of Ibiza. Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the island, at the edge of Es Codolar beach in the Las Salinas nature reserve, it’s perfect for enjoying stunning sea views and magical sunsets.
It has a dotty charm that makes you fall in love with the place… (Show me more…)
In the center of the island, in S.ta Gertrudis, Leonardo Scacchi a native Italian artist opened together with his partner Nashwan the Croissantería “otto cappuccini“. As stylish as an Italian croissanterie can get the place features tables and chairs from the designer Philip Starck.
The inside is divided into several one behind the other ascending levels…. (Show me more…)
Es Rickshaw is one of those hidden gems in Ibiza and of course one of our favourite Restaurants.
The owner, Joan Sandic refers to his establishment as a ‘lounge fusion’ restaurant, rather than a dining room – which both emphasizes the relaxing environment and refers to the food. The cuisine is an extremely successful fusion of classic Mediterranean and exotic Asian styles, both in terms of flavours and decorative styles, largely as a result of Joan’s extensive Asian travels.
Obviously many of these were made on a rickshaw, which is a mode of travel similar to the bicycle. Travelling at such a lack of pace allows one to become part of the environment rather than simply passing through it. It is that slow pace Es Rickshaw feel is important to truly savour interesting food in a comfortable environment that is is unusual, if not unique, on the bustling Restaurant Street .
Open every day from 8 pm to 1am, reservation is a good idea with so few tables and such good food.
To do so call Tel: (+ 34) 971 330 123 or (+ 34) 617 332 000
Es Rickshaw, C/San Vicente 49 - Santa Eularia, Ibiza
Located inside the little touristic harbour in Santa Eularia Cafe’ Sydney is one of those places we especially recommend to our readers.
With a Wi-Fi connection always on the traditional German spot offers a variety of simple and fusion dishes.
The menu consists of traditional german dishes like strogonoff, rosbeef or tiras de pankakes and at the same time mediterranean recipes with a fusion touch of “master chef” Mariano Arriaga. Locals love it, great service and very nice atmosphere.
